“A Moonment to Remember” Mid-Autumn Festival series of events allowed people to feel the warmth of home, while building a bridge for cultural exchange between the East and the West, laying a solid foundation for more exchanges in the future.

“Tea of Harmony Yaji Cultural Salon” featured an immersive tea ceremony performance with tea culture lecture, tea tasting, tea whisking, and incense tracing, for the audience to fully experience the beauty of Chinese tea culture.

Professional Exhibitions

In 2024, China Cultural Center in Stockholm hosted a series of captivating exhibitions, which not only showcased China’s traditional culture and modern creativity but also fostered cultural exchange and interaction between China and Sweden. Through these exhibitions, visitors embarked on a journey through China’s rich cultural heritage and profound history. From the exquisite cloisonné and elegant Chinese painting, to the dialogue between Chinese and Swedish printmaking, each exhibition allowed Swedish audiences to experience the unique charm of Chinese culture.

Here, the boundaries between tradition and modernity are blurred. Whether through virtual reality recreating ancient civilizations or blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary arts, each piece of Jingdezhen ceramics, Shanghai intangible cultural heritage items, and theatrical costumes tells a story between the past and the future. These exhibitions use innovative approaches to bring China’s traditional culture into the modern world, showcasing the endless possibilities of traditional art in the new era.

Art knows no boundaries; it transcends cultural divides through creativity. From Chinese landscape painting to the natural beauty of Scandinavia, from stage art to tourism promotion, everything here narrates how Eastern and Western cultures meet and collide in art. Each exhibition is a dialogue about diversity and creativity, inviting everyone to experience this cross-cultural artistic feast.

Lectures and Workshops

A series of insightful “China’s Stories” lectures were held to explore the rich culture and history of China, learn about Chinese cuisine and tourism, and discuss the relations between Swedish and Chinese woodcut prints. These lectures took you into the diverse cultures of China and delved into the stories behind different art forms. Each lecture offers a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture and art, and the cultural exchanges between China and Sweden.

In “Lanting Culture Salon”, participants experienced the essence of ancient Chinese culture; Tai Chi Day allowed people to feel the charm of traditional Chinese martial arts through movement and stillness. These events not only convey China’s rich cultural heritage but also provide an excellent opportunity to share cultural experiences with others.

Chinese culture takes root in the thousands of years of history to represent a way of life and spiritual pursuit of living in the present. From traditional tea culture to exquisite enamel crafts, every detail reflects the warmth and charm of Chinese culture.

We sincerely thank everyone for your support and participation, which have made these events meaningful and full of life. In 2025, we will continue to work hand in hand with you to bring more creative and profound cultural experiences, and welcome more friends to attend and support our events. We wish you  all the best in a new year full of joy and peace!
