Organized by China Cultural Center in Stockholm and China National Academy of Painting, “Chinese Art Exhibition of China National Academy of Painting” will be on display from December 9, 2024 to January 10, 2025. Founded in 1977, China National Academy of Painting is a national professional institution integrating art creation, research, education, collection, popularization and exchange, with over 300 professional artists and researchers dedicated to the inheritance, research, innovation and development of Chinese painting. The 54 pieces of Chinese painting on display here tell the personal stories of their creators through different techniques, concepts, and forms. The exhibition is divided into 3 parts: “Wandering through Mountains & Forests”, “All We Mortal Beings” and “There is a Soul in Everything”. The artworks offer their viewers a window not only into the unique use of brush and ink in Chinese painting and the thousands of years of history of Chinese art, but also the innovation and development of Chinese painting and the zeitgeist of contemporary Chinese people. Human emotions are universal, and we are all capable of perceiving beauty. Therefore, an artwork’s value is best reflected in its resonance with its admirers. It is hoped that through this exhibition, Chinese art finds more kindred spirits in the countries where it visits.
