“Tea for Harmony Yaji Cultural Salon” Parent-Child Tea Ceremony co-organized by China Cultural Center in Stockholm and Mingtang was successfully held on April 5, a bright spring day. Over ten families attended this tea-scented event that transcends culture and generations. Let us review this cultural experience full of childlike fun and warmth!
Parents and children received their own name tags at the sign-in area, and started the tea party with a relaxed and interesting warm-up interaction. In the tea culture overview session, children were led through thousands of years to explore the mysteries of Chinese tea in the form of animation and Q&A. They actively engaged in the Q&A session, marveling at the wisdom and etiquette in the tea culture.
The highlight of the tea party was the Kung Fu tea art demonstration by the master of Mingtang. The smooth warming of the cup, high pouring and low pouring, the fragrance of tea rose with the mist. In the subsequent parent-child experience session, families sat around the tea table, and the children poured tea and water attentively. The fragrance of tea and the warmth of family affection emerged and blended, as the cultural heritage passed on.
While tasting Chinese tea refreshments, parents chatted about parenting in the aroma of tea, while children became little artists and painted “The Tea Party in My Heart” on lanterns.
In the future, China Cultural Center in Stockholm will continue to build cultural bridges through diversified activities, allowing more families to experience the beauty of China through interaction. We look forward to the next gathering, and see you again!
