In an era of rapid technological progress, Uno Yang Guowei, a highly imaginative photographer, uses AI as a bridge to link history and modernity. His latest series presents images of Beijing captured a century ago by Swedish photographer Osvald Sirén and Johan Gunnar Andersson. Through AI-driven restoration and reinterpretation of these photographs, Yang profoundly conveys Beijing’s cultural memory and humanistic spirit. This work rekindles the shared visual heritage and history of cultural exchange between China and Sweden, creating a meaningful connection across time and space.

This is a visual journey that spans both time and space, inviting every viewer to join in this profound dialogue between history and modernity. Through this exhibition, we are offered a glimpse of how Guowei Yang uses his lens to build a bridge between the past and the present. We welcome you to embark on this journey of images, to encounter old Beijing from a century ago, and to resonate with the stories behind the photographs.
