On September 23, 2024, “A Moonment to Remember” Mid-Autumn Festival Concert, organized by China Cultural Center in Stockholm, was held at Uppsala University Auditorium. Chinese Ambassador to Sweden, Cui Aimin, and Deputy Mayor of Uppsala, Stefan Hanna, attended and delivered speeches. The event was attended by nearly 1,000 people, including Chinese and Swedish students and scholars, as well as friends from various sectors from local communities.

Ambassador Cui said in this remarks that Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for the Chinese people to express their wishes for happiness and reunion. He noted that China and Sweden enjoy a deep traditional friendship, a solid foundation of cooperation and vibrant cultural exchanges. Uppsala’s rich cultural diversity and strong sense of academic freedom provide favorable conditions for enhancing mutual understanding and friendship among international students and expanding China-Sweden exchanges and cooperation. At present, China is pursuing the Chinese modernization through high-quality development, which will provide more new development opportunities for countries around the world, including Sweden. Ambassador Cui expressed the hope that this event would help promote cultural exchanges between China and Sweden and deepen the friendship between the two peoples.

The event was organized by China Cultural Center in Stockholm. Musicians from Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra performed both Chinese and Western symphonic works, resonating strongly with the audience and earning rounds of applause.
