On September 21, China Cultural Center in Stockholm organized a Mid-Autumn Festival Garden Party at Kungsträdgården in Stockholm. This event was a feast combining visual, auditory, and culinary delights, and a joyful blend of traditional Chinese culture and modern lifestyle, with the essence of Chinese culture beautifully encapsulated in the theme “A Moonment to Remember”.

Traditional Culture: Showcasing Vibrant Ethnic Trend

The traditional culture experience area featured workshops of calligraphy, painting, printmaking, lantern making, Weiqi, Lord Rabbit painting, Weiqi, and Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) and makeup experience. China International Exhibition Agency prepared various Mid-Autumn-themed cultural experiences, which attracted a myriad of visitors to explore and fully immerse themselves in this cultural extravaganza.

Traditional Cuisine: Enjoying the Mid-Autumn Festival of Reunion

The food tasting area was another highlight of the event. A wide variety of traditional Chinese delicacies were offered, including various types of mooncakes, pancakes, and colorful steamed dumplings. The inclusion of Chinese spicy hot pot with Mala Land branding emphasized the international appeal of Chinese cuisine. The bubble tea stand, with its trendy packaging and romantic ambiance, also attracted large crowds.

Cultural Performances: Creating a Joyful Stage

The event featured pop-up performances and stage shows. Musicians from Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra captivated the audience with a string quartet performance of Colourful Clouds Chasing the Moon, followed by a brass quintet rendition of Dare to Ask Where the Road Is, which energized the entire crowd. The Hanfu fashion show, accompanied by traditional dance performances, attracted local Swedes to jointly showcase the beauty of Chinese clothing. The main stage featured a wide variety of performances, including singing, dancing, instrumental music, poetry recitals, and displays of trendy Chinese culture. The lively melodies and confident dance moves exuded youthful energy, while the strong beats and hearty applause showcased the vitality and spirit of the younger generation. The atmosphere reached its peak when Swedish youth performed the classic song May We All Be Blessed with Longevity, prompting the audience to join in a chorus, bringing the event to a climax.

The Mid-Autumn Garden Party was organized and planned by China Cultural Center in Stockholm. In addition to the cultural activities, there were service booths offering “Hello! China” tourism promotions, “Study in China” programs and consular services. Furthermore, Chinese companies such as Air China, Xpeng and NIO also participated in the event, providing a wide range of products and services to the Swedish public through this cultural platform.
